Residents Ride in Veteran's Day Parade

(DALLAS, Texas) — Veterans from Buckner Retirement Village, including ten men and one woman, rode in the annual Veteran's Day Parade in downtown Dallas Nov. 11th. "It was a special day for all of us," said Alicia Russell, executive director of Buckner Retirement Village. One resident even commented on the "rush of emotion" he felt as the color guard presented Old Glory and the planes flew overhead in the missing man formation, she added.

"We are so proud of our Veterans, and we honor and thank them for the sacrifices that they and many others have made to protect the freedom that we enjoy."
