Meet the faces of the Buckner Retirement Services Support Center! Here at Buckner Retirement Services in Dallas, our goal is to provide resources and support to each of our communities across the state of Texas. To us, this means anything from a word of encouragement, to management or administrative oversight, to simply a friendly face. We strive to have a hands-on approach— regularly visiting each campus and knowing members and employees by name.

Senior Vice President

Charlie joined the senior living leadership team at Buckner Retirement in 2000 as director of quality improvement and regulatory compliance, then went on to serve as vice president of operations. He’s served in his current role since March 2010 and today leads the team of roughly 900 employees across the five existing Buckner communities with his more than 20 years of industry experience.

“Buckner Retirement Services exists to enrich the lives of senior adults through active living and expert care,” he said. “Getting to be part of this mission and see seniors’ lives transformed is truly rewarding.”

Brian L. Robbins

Vice President

Brian joined Buckner Retirement Services senior leadership team in April 2017. Prior to Buckner, he served as director of operations with Life Care Services. A Navy veteran with nearly 20 years of leadership and management experience in long-term care, Brian values the opportunity to serve “The greatest generation” through his position.

 “Touching the lives of senior adults is the most rewarding part of my job,” Brian said. “I’ve heard some of the greatest stories and developed lifelong friendships with many of the residents I’ve met along my journey.”

Dita Horton

Dida Horton

Director of Marketing

Dida joined Buckner Retirement’s senior living staff in 2002. Prior to Buckner, she worked as the director of marketing and sales for Trinity Terrace, a continuing care retirement community in Fort Worth, from 1989 to 2002.

“Over the last 25 years in this industry, it’s the relationships with staff, residents and their families that have enriched my life beyond measure,” she said. “Guiding senior adults through the decision to move to a senior living community and teaching staff how to do the same has been so rewarding.  I’m truly blessed!”

Wes Wells

Wesley Wells

Director of Resident Experience

Wes joined Buckner Retirement’s senior living staff in 1995 as administrator and vice president of Baptist Memorial Center in San Angelo. He then served nearly seven as executive director of Buckner Westminster Place before taking his current role in 2018.

“I love getting to know the residents and learn from their life experiences,” he said. “I miss my grandparents still, so spending time with the residents meets a need to connect to generations from the past.”

Director of Healthcare Services

Cheryl joined Buckner Retirement’s senior living staff in 2008. She spent the first five of those years as the founding Buckner Hospice administrator, then served as the director of assisted living, memory care and education services before entering her current role where she works with each Buckner senior living community to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

My life has been richly blessed by senior adults and their perspective on life,” she said. “The opportunity to give back to this generation and increase their quality of life is fulfilling and life-enriching.”
