U.S. News & World Report recently recognized all seven senior living communities as among the best in the country.
The honor included recognition for different levels of the continuum of care across communities as well as honors for communities that most “feel like home.”
Buckner’s award-winning communities and their honors:
- Buckner Westminster Place in Longview was recognized for excellence in independent living, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care as well as a leader among continuing care retirement communities.
- Baptist Retirement Community in San Angelo was recognized for excellence in independent living, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care as well as a leader among continuing care retirement communities. In addition, the community7 was recognized as Best Independent Living – Feels Like Home and Best Independent Living – Food & Dining categories.
- Buckner Villas in Austin was recognized for excellence in assisted living and independent living. In addition, the senior living community was recognized in the Best Independent Living – Feels Like Home category.
- Buckner Calder Woods in Beaumont was recognized for excellence in independent living, short-term rehabilitation, long-term care and as a leader among continuing care retirement communities. In addition, the senior living community was recognized in the Best Independent Living – Activities & Enrichment category.
- Ventana by Buckner in Dallas was recognized as best in independent living and best among continuing care retirement communities. In addition, Ventana was named among Best Independent Living – Feels Like Home and Best Independent Living – Food & Dining.
- Parkway Place in Houston was named best in assisted living and best among continuing care retirement communities as well as named among the Best Assisted Living – Management and Staff, Best Assisted Living – Caregiving, and Best Assisted Living – Feels Like Home categories.
- The Stayton at Museum Way by Buckner in Forth Worth was recognized as best in assisted living and in the categories of Best Assisted Living – Caregiving and Best Independent Living – Feels Like Home.
U.S. News & World Report ranks senior care communities on a five-star rating for three categories: state-conducted health inspections, how much time nurses spend with residents and the quality of medical care. More than 15,000 facilities are evaluated annually.
